A while back we decided to pack as many cool shops in one direction into one day as possible, jumping into Ewan’s ultimately tiny Suzuki Every we headed towards Gifu. Garage Defend was first on the list, they specialise in GTRs and the garage is also surrounded by a few other pretty cool shops. Out the front of the shop was a string of R34s and it took all of 2 seconds to realise their display garage was stuffed full of tuned cars from R34s and a track 35 to Supras and the odd Euro. All the cars were incredibly tidy and each had a long list of cool parts hiding between the panels. We chatted to one of the workers for a while and he let us look around.

Believe the hype, Japan is incredible; coming from New Zealand I can’t say I’ve seen many well modified new skylines and after a few weeks in this lovely country the sight of all these cars didn’t really even faze me. Looking back through all my photos I realised what we had shrugged off and can appreciate this shop for what it was.
