C’s Garage BBQ and meet / April, 2011
Nick’s NA6, Mark’s FC3S, Josh’s E30, Jays JZZ30, Shaun’s S14A, Joel’s S13, C’s Garage KE70, Adam’s S14 build

On the weekend something awesome happened. After years of building, track days and what not, finally most of the cars are together in one spot at the same time! I had to work both Saturday and Sunday but pitched up in the afternoons between howling wind and torrential rain. Many cars didn’t make it unfortunately, I don’t know if we could fit all our friends cars in the driveway. Cars missing from the above photo that were there:  Wazzy’s JZX81, Olly’s 180SX. NZPC is doing a feature on the garage so the next issue should definitely be worth picking up.

More to come

Hugo. Joel. Myself

Yea I can count to ten in Japanese, go 5th form Japanese GO!

I’m liking how most of these photos came out, really don’t do enough motor sport photography these days. Something I’d like to change. Tried a few different styles of PP, let me know what you all think. I know there are a few photographers who check this, constructive criticism is welcome.

Calm before the storm.

Woah, late arvo blogposts are us. Kind of glad I never chose to become a pixel jockey for a profession sometimes, I’m beat after processing these last bunch. Still got lots to go too! Hope you’re not on your internet cap’s last legs or this post might just ring the bell.

Picking up from where I left off… Taupo, June 1St. The tarmac was getting a beating, the pitlane was packed and everyone had a smile on their dial. This is why all those hours are sunk into these rolling tin cans.

I suppose I better start from the beginning, kind of. As usual, click the photos for larger version.

It was fiercely cold and what better way to warm the soul then some destroying of tyres?

Driftopia Taupo went off like a bomb, one of the best Taupo days for sure. Nothing broke, impeding the act of sliding, it didn’t rain or snow (during the day), only one bumper and one door fell victim which I thought was a pretty solid effort.

The media was a frenzy (K, Damo and myself) as the large field tore into the day. (photo’s of the rest of the field to come).

Pitlane Entry

Note: I still havn’t gotten through half the photos, let alone processed them so halt and ponder these pixels whilst I get on with it.

C’s Garage Cars

January 22, 2009

I’ve been holding out on you guys. I got plenty more photos of the Adam and Joel’s cars on that last trip to Mere mere.  I thought it was about time I posted them.

It had been crapping down all morning when the sun decided to make a quick appearance.

Possibly the worst photo chase car in the history of photography cars, Joel’s onevia did my hand no favours holding the 300mm lens.

Shaun’s S14A

I couldn’t help myself in taking some close up photo’s of Adam’s interior. Despite being told to get fucked when asking Shaun to be a human shadow for the dash shot.

Hope to get some better rolling shots with a wide angle when theres some better weather.
Stay tuned

-Chris

It’s about time I got some photos of this thing outside. Don’t let the previous photos of this car fool you, it’s quite low :/

Enjoy a few of my favourites:

It wasn’t a huge photoshoot, just a park up and stare. These aren’t all of them, take a wonder over to C’s Garage (under blogroll) for the rest of the photos.

Cheers

Joel’s Onevia steps up a notch. Words cannot appropriately exclaim how awesome this looks, so I won’t even try. Here’s pictures of final assembly to get the blood flowing instead
